The Effects of Money

In this planet, one of the most important thing is money. It is a must-have of everyone’s life. Everybody wants it and everybody needs it. It can also “make the world go round” just as love does.
The primary use of money is a medium of exchange. In ancient times, people use things to barter. Important goods were utilized as an exchange agreed by two individuals. Barter was not later on used because the transferability of goods is not enough. It is also tiring, inefficient and confusing, aside from the limited resources people have. Considering if the other person wants a meat in an exchange for a bunch of grapes? Meat and grapes cannot be equal right? So up until 1500 BC when metal money was invented by the Phoenicians, it began to change the way of barter. Now currency is being used in each country with different value from other countries.
Today’s source of survival is money, that’s why one cannot live without it.. People usually tend to think that money is all about everything. Money lives within us and we realize our dreams with it. We love it and we condemn it. Any of us will do anything for money. Although money is only in a form of a metal coin and a piece of paper, it recognizes the belief that nothing in the world is free. That is why we need jobs in order for us to gain and earn money.
How does money affect man?? Can money change a person? It can. What makes it negative is the person’s love and greed for money. Some people think that money is only the source of happiness. Money is not the only important thing in the world. Money’s negative effect can destroy marriage and family. Some couples make money the primary source of their marriage, and if one partner usually fails to provide the basic needs of the family, he/she usually is the first person to be blame and that causes major conflict. In the society, money causes all the evil doings. It causes corruption among political officials, kidnapping, smuggling, robbery and even killing just to satisfy the greed.
Now what is the right thing to do? People should realize that living is not all about money. There are other ways of satisfying happiness. When we were born, we have nothing. We will be bringing nothing when we die. So people should note that money is not the most important thing in life. What really matters is the happiness and good memories you have with the people you love.
