Looking for the way onto the property ladder
By Billy | December 29, 2009
I am currently living at home in London, and are desperately seeking a place of my own somewhere far from here. In addition to my need, I have begun a new job not long ago, working in Internet search for a leading company on the south coast.
The idea of a long term commute back and forth does not hold much of an appeal. It cost a lot of money and wastes much time, but it happens to be my life right now. In an ideal world what I am looking for is rented accommodation, for example, I have been seen advertisements entitled ‘property to let West Sussex‘. it is brilliant as I am now working in Worthing, West Sussex. It is not a problem to me if I find somewhere temporarily to stay in neighbouring Brighton, as it is only 20 minutes by train. Brighton is also a lively place and a nationally recognised place for people working in my industry.
My main aim once settled in my new role is to begin looking for a property to buy in Worthing. It has been mentioned in the media recently that forecasts from the Council of mortgage lenders for house repossessions has be greatly exaggerated. The figure is nearer to 45,000 which is much better than had been expect at around 75,000. It shows confidence in a market that has been down, althought the figures are still relatively high. Down here in Sussex, there is a growing number of people searching for new homes.
Currently I am one of the lucky ones regularly employed and has been able to save for a small deposit. I will definitely rent for now, before leaping into the world of house ownership.
Although I am still making the journey every day from London, I am on the mailing list for companies based mainly in East and West Sussex. The sort of advertisement that i had noticed read like ‘Estate Agents Sussex‘. I may not be the only one looking to relocate, as my new company have also received notices entitled ‘commercial property Sussex‘ watch this space!
